Calms an angry ocean during extreme weather - By Fiorentino

It is  the only parachute sea anchor that absorbs massive shock loads without blowing panels or twisting parachute lines. That means no collapsing canopies, which can make quite a difference when cruising in storm conditions.

Stainless steel fabrication that comes in eight different sizes and is pre-sized to each order. Fiorentino’s exclusive Para-Ring® spreads out the shroud lines, thus preventing chafe and enabling the swivel to work without restriction.  Is the only device on the market that permits a swivel to rotate under load.

Since 1958 Fiorentino Para-anchor is the Home of the original parachute style style sea anchor for 65 years

FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work Offshore Para-Ring Anchor?

When a Fiorentino anchor is deployed on the windward side of your boat, the anchor rode and hardware immediately sink upon hitting the water, pulling the shroud lines out of the parachute canopy. At this point, the canopy fills with water until it submerges. It then opens up like a giant jellyfish. The bow of your boat then automatically aligns itself into the wind, stabilizing your position in the water. Deploying the appropriate amount of anchor rode allows your boat and Fiorentino to ride in unison on opposing waves. The end result is a safe, smooth, and comfortable boat ride.

1. Deploy Trip Line

Deploy the trip line off the windward side of your boat. Allow your vessel to drift away from the recovery line until it’s elongated.

Simply drop the parachute anchor off the windward side of your boat. Fiorentino’s patented design and heavier materials immediately launch the para-anchor underwater.

In calm conditions pay out very little deployment rode to maintain “constant rode tension.” ÂIn storms pay out at least 50% of your deployment rode to maintain “constant rode tension. Secure your deployment rode around a cleat to fully inflate the para-anchor. Whenever your vessel starts to jerk unnaturally pay out more rode until that motion stops.

1. Hook it

Motor toward the retrieval float located at the end of a trip line.
Collect the float with a boat hook.

Just pull the float line and the chute closes like an umbrella as the anchor rises from the depths.

The para-anchor returns with virtually,
no resistance.

And, two minutes later your para-anchor is packed with Fiorentino’s Fast-PAK bag.
